 1.   Summary

By popular demand the individual HBA part numbers have been restored in Add Parts.  Using the wizard is now optional.  If you select specific HBA part numbers a QuickShip message will appear noting which cables are required.  You must order the cables separately.

This product bulletin announces an update to the process for ordering additional NetApp HBAs from Add Parts. HBAs are now only quoted via an HBA Wizard in eConfigurator. Previously individual HBAs were available from Add Parts. Now HBAs can only be quoted using the Wizard. The Wizard also allows ordering cables that will be installed with the HBAs.

2.   What's New?

With the release of the May 2007 Quote Tool, ordering HBAs is very simple. Simply go to Add Parts and type “HBA” in the search window for parts. The HBA part will appear as a line item that you must edit in order to proceed with configuring the HBA. Please refer to the Quote Tool Bulletin for detailed quoting instructions. The table below shows the HBAs, power cords, and interconnect kit that can be configured using the Wizard.
